Royal Tunbridge Wells anniversary event with chef Nigel Smith

This month we celebrated our first year in Royal Tunbridge Wells with a fantastic anniversary event. Our chef for the evening Nigel Smith wowed guests with spectacular cooking demonstrations and a delicious menu of the freshest seasonal ingredients, full of flavour and immaculately presented.

Trained at the Savoy, Nigel has worked at several prestigious restaurants before launching his own cookery school and patisserie range. Personal chef to celebrities such as Sir Nick Faldo and Gary Player, Nigel is well known for his recognisable energy. His enthusiasm and passion for food certainly kept our guests well and truly hooked throughout the night.

Setting foot through our showroom doors, guests were greeted by our friendly designers and handed a fresh glass of prosecco. Softly lit and displayed to our usual beautiful standard, guests had the chance to explore the ins and outs of the kitchen designs while our designers were on hand to offer inspiring ideas and helpful information.

Demonstrating how to get the best from your kitchen and appliances in partnership with Sub-Zero and Wolf, Nigel prepared and cooked three simple and delicious dishes that came together perfectly to create a satisfying seasonal feast. While sharing expert tips and advice, guests were able to engage with Nigel and learn about the food cooked throughout the night.

At the end of the evening, each guest was handed a Tom Howley bag full of treats and from local stores including Jo Malone and Kiehl’s. We can’t wait to be back in this gorgeous location on the 28th September for our cake baking and decorating masterclass with the well known Juliet’s Café.

You can find out how to cook Nigel’s delicious recipes soon as we will be posting them here in our journal.
