Light Blue Traditional Shaker Kitchen

Pastel shades in kitchens are highly-coveted and popular because they always look so fresh and clean. This lovely light blue gives our traditional Shaker design a contemporary twist. The colour complements the typical features of a Shaker kitchen such as open shelving, butcher’s block and traditional chimney breast to stunning effect.

Tom Howley kitchen designers make the most of every space and create opportunities to enhance the kitchen design wherever possible. A traditional chimney has been specially created for the double oven, hob and hood. A mirror set into the recess bounces natural light back into the room and promotes a sense of space. In addition, handy cabinets set into the wall are ideal for storing culinary essentials or for displaying personal pieces.

Bespoke butcher's table

Butcher’s tables are highly sought after by interior designers looking to create an authentic shaker style finish. This beautiful solid timber butcher’s block has been hand-finished in a pretty powder blue shade. It has the typical slatted shelf feature which is perfect for either storage or display, and a white marble worktop that will provide a hard-wearing surface for food preparation or even family dining. This large butcher’s table can be used in addition to or instead of an island.

My favourite feature is the recessed chimney breast. This was designed, built and installed and was not an existing architectural feature. It demonstrates the amazing skill of our craftsmen and what we can do to create the bespoke look our client desires. Even if you think your kitchen can’t accommodate a certain style, you’ll be surprised what we can achieve.
