Bespoke is a term often thrown around, but at Tom Howley it means exactly what it should. Nothing we produce is standard. We don’t stock pre-made cabinets or frames, only hardwood ready to be crafted into individual kitchens. Every component is made to the exact specification of each client, creating one-off pieces designed exclusively for their home.
We build kitchens using many of the same principles that have stood the test of time for generations. We use hardwood throughout, selecting each timber for where it performs best.
Our doors are made from solid maple; it’s dense, it paints well and once installed, it does not move. Beech is used in high-traffic areas such as the plinth, where its tight, uniform grain and outstanding durability help it withstand the demands of everyday life.
From rebated doors and traditional 2-inch butt hinges to individually handcrafted cabinetry, every detail reflects our commitment to building kitchens the right way, one at a time, from scratch.
Tom Howley was founded in 2004 by cabinet makers Tom Howley and Mark Clayton. More than 20 years later, we’re proud to be the UK’s leading in-frame kitchen company, with a team of over 100 skilled craftspeople in our Peak District factory.
